Testimonials describe what has been, and are a promise of what is to come.

- Ron Kaufman

“Ms. Polk is truly a God-send! I was in a bit of a dark place when I first started my sessions and over the course of a few months, Ms. Polk has helped me to see the light. I now view myself in a whole new way and can truly stand in my power due to her believing and seeing the best in me. It was really important to me to not only have a Black woman who could relate to me, but someone who was easy to talk to and could give me advice straight, no chaser. Ms. Polk is that and much more. I feel as if she has become more than just a therapist, but a trusted source who feels like a friend.”

“My experience with Ms. Polk has been the most transformational and empowering experience. As someone who was hesitant in starting therapy, I've noticed several changes in my life within the short period I've been in therapy with Ms. Polk. I am now someone who is aware of her feelings and emotions, someone who knows her worth, someone who is more positive about her future and life, someone who is learning to set boundaries and making decisions that are in my best interest. Not only did Ms. Polk provide me with a safe and non-judgmental space for me to explore my past feelings, ongoing traumas and thoughts; she provided me with techniques, coping mechanisms and solutions to my problems that I can use outside of therapy especially when self-reflecting. I would simply like to express my deepest gratitude to Ms. Polk for all she has done for me thus far in my journey."

“For a non-believer seeking therapy, my journey this past year has given me more knowledge of myself and the encouragement to continue my journey to grow myself during these difficult times. I am more knowledgeable in dealing with day to day situations, that disrupt my mental health.
Thank you Ms. P”

“First off, I just want to thank Ms. P for allowing me this platform to give her “roses”. She is as genuine and down to earth as they come.

Ms. Polk is my first ever experience with speaking to a professional about mental health. So prior to actual sessions with her, I did research because I wanted a person of color to relate to our struggle, but also a different perspective from a woman. I always connected and bonded with women because of their innate ability of intuition. Those were the two guidelines for me. I think it is/was dope of her to use a free consultation to see if she is a good fit for what you want on your path to seek what you are looking for in the subject of mental health.

Once I began sessions, her process allows the participant to figure things out for themselves. All the while, asking the right questions and understanding of what ups and downs you’ve been through to gather proper context.

Personally speaking, it is a journey because I have chatted with her through the roughest emotional and professional point of my life, but yet had wins in other areas. So a few things I learned while on my mission of growth is balance and allowing myself grace. Realizing how much my traumas have affected me through conscious and sub-conscious ways, even ills that affected me that I was not aware of.

One piece of advice I would give to you the reader is, for as much you put into growing in parts of your life, financially, physically, familial, etc…invest into yourself with your mental and growing from your traumas.”

“Ms. Polk is truly a miracle that I didn’t even know I needed! Before I met Ms. Polk, my insight into my mental health was very limited, if nonexistent. I came to her with low self-esteem, poor coping skills, frequent anxiety attacks and frankly doubting if therapy was the answer. Ms. Polk met me exactly where I was at. There was no judgment projected. She just wanted to help me. Fast forward a year and a half later, and my only regret is not starting sooner. I now have a more complete understanding of what mental health is and how to bring it into my daily life. Ms. Polk's approach is very organic and intentional. She is not at all prescriptive but provides me with the correct terminology and framework that allows me to create my journey for myself. This empowers me to take my mental health into my own hands. She follows up on subjects I brought up weeks ago, she challenges me on my thoughts, she guides me back on track when I derail on a non-relevant soapbox but most importantly she allows me to figure it out. Ms. Polk is the definition of a true professional, and I am so lucky to have her on my team. If you are reading this and thinking about starting therapy with Ms. Polk, then consider yourself lucky and start. You can thank me later!”

"My experience in therapy with Ms. Polk has been one of the best decisions I've made for myself. Her knowledge has helped me with using correct verbiage, developing practical ways to manage negative emotions while simultaneously cultivating the safe space to bring those emotions to since the beginning. I would 100% refer others to her."

— D. A. Current Client

“Ms Polk is extremely professional and reliable, but what I value the most is that no matter how hard therapy is (and trust the work is hard), I know that I’m getting closer to my healing with every session. This is a scary and challenging process; yet, I feel free, vulnerable, and protected doing this work with Ms. Polk.”
